BIOGRAPHY

Tristan Amison (born September 17, 1984) better known by his stage name Sikadime is a Canadian rapper and music producer. He is originally from Victoria B.C. Canada. Born to a Canadian (Black/French-Huron Indian/Ukranian) mother and a British immigrant (English/Andorran) father, it was in the early 90's that he started making basement demo tapes and releasing his first cassette album independently by the age of 10.

In 1999, Sikadime located to the Niagara Region of Ontario Canada to complete his high school years where he competed in cafeteria battle raps, cypher freestyles, open mic nights and eventually starting groups such as Tha Pacolyps & Joker'z Wild. Tha Pacolyps would go on to sign with west coast legendary Suge Knight's Death Row Records under the subsidiary label Tha Row Underground in 2002. Eventually the album would not fully materialize as Tha Row Underground closed its doors and the group broke up in 2003.

Now as a solo artist & producer again, Sikadime would take to the independent route and fund his 2006 album Rejuvenated. The album lead to a worldwide distribution deal, Billboard 200, a few tours, a Canadian gold single for the title song "Rejuvenated". The album success and MySpace presence at the time brought Sikadime to being recruited by B-Real's team to work on The Harvest in 2007 and signing a one album agreement to Cypress Hill's label Latin Thug Records for his next album "Carpe Noctem" released in 2010 which would lead to a platinum status by 2023

In 2012, Sikadime would start his own label From West Till Three and video blog series Backpack Adventures. With 2 singles digitally distributed by Interscope Records, he set forth a full North American tour booked and funded by himself called Night of Your Life Tour.

In 2014, Sikadime returned back to his northwest roots in BC but now making Vancouver home. By restarting again, Sikadime would release a few more albums before announcing 2020's 'Losers, Rejects & Renegades' would be his last and take upon retirement. With over 100,000 albums independently sold worldwide and over 4 million combined streams to date,  Sikadime has been recognized as one of Canada's elite underground and independent hip hop artists.
